Engineering Discipline | Ep:02 | Engineering Future Series | Engineering with Ibraheem

In the previous episode, I explained an introduction to engineering. In this episode 2, I will be explaining various Engineering discipline.

Greeting and Welcome to Engineering Future, an exclusive Engineering and Technology series on Engineering with Ibraheem, a podcast brought to you by S.M. Ibraheem.

Let's start today's discussion with Civil Engineering. So whenever you visit San Francisco, California. What is the most attractive thing you find there let me guess, the famous Golden Gate Bridge Similarly Statue of the Liberty in New York, the tallest skyscraper on the planet Burj Khalifa are some famous civil engineering outcomes.

Now you have a little idea about civil engineering. But if you still don't get it then let me explain it to you in simple English. Civil Engineering is related to the design and construction of civil projects like buildings, roads, bridges, and even cities.

Civil Engineering is not a new concept to us. Romans built great theaters Greeks and even Egyptians built great Pyramids. So next time when you look at any building keep in mind that is designed by an engineer known as Civil Engineer.

"Making such a tough content on engineering is not easy as it takes a lot of time and research. Your little support of $1 on Patreon, will keep me motivated to produce this show. The S.M Ibraheem Official Patreon link is available in the description."

After a short introduction to civil engineering, let's dive into the ocean of digital technology. You are listening to this podcast on your mobile phone or on your computer laptop. Ever wondered how these devices work and behave. How you get YouTube videos from a single touch on a mobile phone. All your answers lie in electrical engineering. This field of engineering is tremendously huge. One of the big facts about electrical engineering is that computer engineering, electronics, and power engineering are part of it.

How computer engineering is the part of EE. All computer boards have electronic PCB programable circuits and these circuits are initially studied and build in electrical engineering. All the hospital's electronic equipment is designed by electronics engineers. The electricity generated in the power dams and transmitted to our homes is done by power engineers. Last but not least all telecommunication i.e 4G or 5G comes under electrical engineering as well.

Electrical engineering is the study and design of equipment that uses electricity.

In the end, We have Mechanical Engineering. Just like civil and electrical engineering. Mechanical Engineering is one of the vast engineering disciplines. The field is concerned with the design and construction of machinery and vehicles. No doubt that today the automobiles are designed in automobile engineering but this engineering disciple is the subpart of mechanical engineering. So next time when you go road and see some automobiles, bikes trucks or some heavy machinery in a factory then keep in mind one thing that it is designed and studied mechanical engineering.
